ALPHA SPORTS
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
The ALPHA Sports Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy trains in Grünsfeld and Wertheim-Urphar. BJJ explores positions, control and technical solutions on the ground, both in the gi and without it.
Request a trial sessionThe full contact form is available in German and English. Sending a request does not confirm a training appointment.
What you practise
You practise positional transitions, escapes, grips and controlled partner work. No-Gi grappling complements training without gi grips. Professor Martin Vath has overall sporting responsibility for the academy.
Who the training is for
For adults with or without experience. Children and teenagers have their own age-appropriate programmes; adult training does not replace those groups.

Questions about getting started
Can I start without experience?
Yes. Tell us your goals and previous experience. Together we can discuss the right group and training location for your first visit. You do not need to have decided on a long-term training path before contacting us.
Do I need my own gi for my first trial session?
No. A gi is provided for your trial session. You do not need to buy one before your first visit. We will discuss preparation and a suitable starting point with you.
How do I arrange a trial session?
Use the full contact form and select your programme and preferred location. Our team will discuss the next steps with you. A preferred date is a request, not a confirmed booking.
Are classes taught in Russian or Ukrainian?
Our Russian and Ukrainian pages explain the programmes. They do not promise instruction or personal support in those languages. Please discuss communication with us before your first visit.
